Clear expectations for using Next Play Atlas and connecting around meaningful college and university fit.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to Next Play Atlas. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use it for a college or university or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. Description of the Service
Next Play Atlas helps high school students and colleges and universities connect based on interests, location, intended majors, activities, and other preferences. Matching emphasizes the whole student rather than GPA or test scores as the main filter. Matched colleges and universities can communicate with students inside the platform. A match, message, visit invitation, or profile is not an application, admission decision, scholarship offer, or guarantee of financial aid, savings, enrollment, or any particular outcome. Colleges and universities set their own admissions requirements.
3. Student Accounts and Profiles
Provide accurate information, keep your profile current, and protect your account credentials. Do not create accounts for other people without permission or share sensitive information that is not needed for matching. You are responsible for activity under your account and should report suspected unauthorized access through our Contact page. Students must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, involve a parent or guardian and obtain any permission required by law. We do not authorize children under 13 to create accounts.
4. College or University Access and Use
College or University access is for authorized representatives using the platform for legitimate recruitment and educational outreach. Access levels, communication rights, prices, billing, renewal, and cancellation terms are set out in the applicable purchase agreement or order. Payment does not guarantee responses, applications, enrollment, or improved yield. Use student information only for the permitted purpose. Do not scrape, resell, redistribute, build unrelated marketing lists, or try to discover private student contact details. Send relevant, respectful messages inside Next Play Atlas and honor student choices and applicable law.
5. Privacy and Data
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and shared. Student personal email addresses and phone numbers are not provided to colleges and universities as part of profile access. Communication takes place inside Next Play Atlas. Do not post private contact information in a profile or message if you do not want its recipient to see it. You retain ownership of information you submit and give us permission to process and display it as needed to operate the service, subject to your privacy choices and applicable law.
6. Acceptable Use
Use the service lawfully and respectfully. Do not impersonate someone, submit misleading information, harass or exploit students, send spam, upload unlawful or infringing content, or discriminate unlawfully. Do not introduce malware, bypass security or access restrictions, interfere with the service, or attempt unauthorized data collection. Report suspicious messages or misuse through our Contact page. We may investigate reports and restrict activity to protect users.
7. Intellectual Property
Next Play Atlas and its licensors own the platform, branding, software, and original website content, except for content owned by users or other rights holders. We give you limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the service for its intended purpose while you comply with these Terms. You may not copy, sell, modify, or exploit our protected materials without permission, except as allowed by law. Feedback may be used to improve the service without an obligation to compensate you.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free matching, or a particular result. You are responsible for evaluating colleges and universities, costs, admissions requirements, and information received from other users. To the extent permitted by law, Next Play Atlas is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost opportunities or lost data, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service and request account closure through our Contact page. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, unlawful conduct, security concerns, or other legitimate reasons, subject to applicable law and any purchase agreement. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Account closure does not automatically cancel a college or university’s contractual payment obligations. Data handling after closure is described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements, or business practices. We will revise the Last Updated date and provide additional notice of material changes when required by law. Changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise. Review the updated Terms before continuing to use the service.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are subject to applicable United States federal law and the state or local laws that apply under relevant conflict-of-law rules. Any mandatory protections that apply where you live remain in effect. A separate written college or university agreement may specify its own governing law for that agreement. Nothing here requires you to waive a legal right that cannot be waived.
